Belonging to CTEhands cradle

Membership of Churches Together in England is not by local church but national denominations present in England.

Members of Churches Together in England can be:

  • Churches and Denominations with a national presence

  • Unions of Churches

  • Association or Councils of Churches with a national presence.

Belonging to a Churches Together group or County Body does not automatically give a congregation membership of CTE. Visit schools admissions for a longer explanation.

Members are expected and entitled

  • to make an active contribution to the life of Churches Together in England,

  • to develop its fellowship,

  • to guide its policy,

  • to contribute financially.

Member churches share the basis of Churches Together in England:

Local churches and congregations are encouraged to join their local Churches Together group (or similar), or – if appropriate – their county/intermediate body.
