May 2010
The Caim council of the community are seeking God's way together for the transition to new leadership. This is a challenging experience for us all, but one of great blessing as we learn more of listening to one another and together hear the voice of God. Together we want to avoid the pressure to have a 'personality' at the helm - as in our celebrity lead culture, but rather to follow the way that encourages local leadership and local groups which reflect local areas, with the possibility of a group of guardians who will nurture and protect the ethos of the community, guard its memories and not possess or dominate; who will encourage community members as they follow the Way of Life and will pray for them and listen to God for the Community and for those with whom we connect daily.

Ray Simpson, the present Guardian of the community, took part in the Pan Dingle Festival in Ireland to share our Way of Life and its relevance for today's Christians and he is currently in Canada (doing much the same there). There is a great hunger across the world for the celtic way that enables us to be attentive to the world in which we live, its rythmns and seasons, to be healers to those people and places we connect with, to study the scriptures deeply and to listen to the Spirit.

Our local gatherings and our continuing programme of retreats on Holy Island reflect this. See our website for more information. Our Annual Gathering near to Stratford upon Avon happens from 11th to 13th June 2010. If you are interested, check out the website and contact the community office - there may still be time to book in.
